SMS Messaging Program & Opt-In
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Xoptra RCS lets US home-service businesses (such as HVAC, plumbing, pest control, and lawn care) send service-related text messages to their own existing customers — appointment confirmations, missed-call follow-ups, review requests, maintenance and rebooking reminders, and invoice or review links. Messages are sent from a dedicated US number to US recipients only and are transactional and relationship-based — never third-party advertising. Every message identifies the sending business.
How customers opt in
Consent is collected directly by the service business at the point of service (verbal / in-person / by phone). When a customer books an appointment, calls in, or is served on-site, staff ask for the customer's mobile number and read or show the SMS disclosure below before saving it. The customer affirmatively agrees, and staff record that consent in Xoptra — via the SMS-consent checkbox shown below, which is unchecked by default. Recording consent stores its status, a timestamp, the source ("verbal"), and which staff member captured it.
Businesses message only their own existing customers who have given consent. We do not use purchased, rented, or third-party lists, and a send-time consent gate suppresses anyone whose consent has not been recorded.
The consent disclosure shown at opt-in
Each customer sees/hears this before their number is saved (the business's name is filled in automatically — shown here for "Evergreen Pest & Lawn"):
"This customer gave us their mobile number and agreed to receive service-related texts from [Business] (appointment confirmations, follow-ups, reminders, and review/invoice links). Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply. They can reply STOP to opt out, START to resume, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. We don't sell or share mobile opt-in data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."
